We are Veterans Helping Veterans

The most effective programs for homeless and at-risk veterans are
community-based, nonprofit, “veterans helping veterans” groups.

As we express our gratutude, we must never forget that  the highest
appreciation  is not to utter words ,but to live by them.

President John Fitzgerald Kennedy

America’s veterans have served in World War II, the Korean War, Cold War,

Vietnam War, Grenada, Panama, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Many thousands of our needy and disabled veterans served during

the Vietnam era.   Most served our country for at least three years, and

were stationed in a war zone.

In our area, in all areas of this great country, we have veterans who

served our  country, who went to war and fought for our rights and freedoms

and are now  permanently injured both physically and emotionally.

We have too many veterans living below the poverty level, who can’t afford
to buy enough food and clothing their families need to survive.

About 1.5 million veterans, are considered at risk of
homelessness due to poverty, lack of support networks, and dismal
living conditions in overcrowded or substandard housing.

Government money, while important, is currently limited, and available
services are often at capacity. It is critical, therefore, that community groups
reach out to help  provide the support, resources and opportunities
most Americans take for granted: housing, employment and health care.
Veterans who participate in collaborative programs are afforded more
services and have higher chances of becoming
tax-paying, productive citizens again.

We are asking for your support.

Your tax-deductible donation to an Renegade Veterans of America,
a non-profit 501(c)(19) tax exempt organization ,created for the sole
purpose of  assisting needy veterans and their families, will help
the men and women who face significant challenges in civilian life
.
